Sardinia,
located in the center of the Mediterranean with a predominantly mountainous territory but without high peaks, Sardinia offers the visitor a unique natural environment with vast surfaces that have remained magically intact, inhabited by deer and wild horses. An emerald sea that reigns supreme with its colors and creeps into the winding coves, along the coasts and beaches, in the most popular places of the Emerald coast with its pearl: Porto Cervo. Those who prefer the mountains to the sea will be able to discover the Gennargentu region with its pictorial scenarios where nature occupies a prominent place.
PLACES
There are many islands scattered along the splendid coast: among the most famous are Asinara and the Archipelago of La Maddalena off the Costa Smeralda. The city of Alghero, in the province of Sassari, is also known as Barceloneta, the little Barcelona: the city has in fact preserved the use of Catalan. It is the capital of the Riviera del Corallo, as there is the largest quantity of the precious red coral of the finest quality.
COMMON
Sardinia is made up of 377 municipalities and the most important are Cagliari, Carbonia-Iglesias, Nuoro, Olbia-Tempio, Oristano, Medio Campidano, Sassari, Ogliastra, Alghero, Porto Torres, San Teodoro and Stintino.

Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean sea after Sicily. The strategic position of Sardinia in the center of the western Mediterranean has favored its population in ancient times and the development of commercial traffic and cultural exchanges. Rich in mountains, woods, plains, rocky coasts and long sandy beaches and the archipelagos that surround it, for the variety of its ecosystems the island has been metaphorically defined as a micro-continent. Along the coastal areas there are mild winters and hot and dry summers characterized by considerable ventilation which allows to withstand the high summer temperatures that normally exceed 30 ° C. Sardinia is also rich in caves and they are considered among the oldest in Italy. Among the typical activities we find local craftsmanship that includes processes such as wool, cotton and linen weaving, tapestries, cushions, filigree jewelry, cork and ceramic production. We also find a wide choice of sports activities to practice, such as hiking, bird watching, sailing and free climbing.
